Franziska Englert

Franziska studied Latin American Studies at the University of Cologne and Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, Argentina. During her Masters, she worked as an intern and later as a graduate research assistant at the German Development Institute (Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik), where she got interested in the field of Transitional Justice.

After finishing her studies in 2017, Franziska recieved a pre-doc sholarship from the a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School at the University of Cologne to prepare her PhD project for the period of 6 months. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate and sholarship holder at the a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities at the University of Cologne. In her dissertation, she examines the interplay between discourse, reconciliation and societal transformation in Colombia in the course of the peace process with the FARC-EP.
